Public Meetings on Illinois Benefit Administration
Avisery is pleased to share a new resource that provides information about public meetings with key government stakeholders that professionals can opt to attend. These meetings offer insight into health benefits policy and administrative decisions and may provide opportunities to seek guidance from state agency staff on specific access barriers.
Background
The following public meetings with key government officials are available for professionals interested in the administration of public benefits. Professionals can attend these meetings to keep informed of regular updates from state agencies. Attendees also have opportunities to share general issues and trends they have encountered in the field. Many of these meetings offer the opportunity to submit public comment. These meetings may provide opportunities to seek guidance from state agency staff on specific access barriers.
Avisery is presently aware of the following active meetings:
IDHS Benefit Access Group; Focuses on updates regarding the day-to-day operations of Medicaid and SNAP application processing
Medicaid Advisory Committee (MAC) and MAC Subcommittees: MAC meetings and subcommittees focus on a variety of IL Medicaid program operations.
The Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC): A new council comprised of current and former IL Medicaid members, family members of IL Medicaid members, and caregivers with experience supporting Medicaid customers.
The Illinois Health Benefits Exchange Advisory Committee (HBEAC). Focuses on the Illinois State Based Marketplace operations. Meetings may also address issues related ACA Adult Medicaid.
