Avisery invites you to check out our new post on The Intersection, Avisery’s policy blog! This post discusses the fall release by the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services of the Dually Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNPs) Request for Proposal and Model Contract.
Background
The blog post highlights findings from Avisery’s review of select provisions required of the D-SNP plans in Illinois that will affect enrollees. We found welcome similarities to Illinois’ Medicare Medicaid Alignment Initiative plans, such as eligibility standards, continuity of care, voluntary enrollment, and care coordination. Avisery also supports the state’s decision to request collaboration with community agencies to better serve enrollees. The blog post also discusses how the RFP and Model Contract include provisions that align with national trends in addressing health equity.
