Resources include materials to support MSP outreach to consumers, as well as educational materials for professionals who are new to working with the MSPs or in need of a refresher. MSPs are valuable benefit assistance programs that can assist Medicare beneficiaries with limited incomes and assets to pay for Medicare cost sharing and/or premiums.

Consumer resources include:

• MSP flyers that can be used at outreach events like community presentations, health fairs, or congregate dining sites. The flyers are available in English, Spanish, and Polish and include a customizable section where you can add your organization’s name, logo, and contact information
• an MSP Outreach Word Search that can be used as an engaging activity to educate beneficiaries about MSP

Educational materials for professionals include:

• an MSP resource sheet for professionals that explains the types of MSPs, current income and asset limits
• a step-by-step guide to completing an online ABE MSP application in Illinois
• information about the Avisery Legal Aid MSP Referral Pathway that can assist beneficiaries with MSP-related issues and that types of referrals currently being accepted (ex., beneficiaries who were approved for MSP, but continue to have the Medicare Part B premium deducted from their Social Security benefit 60 days after receiving a DHS approval notice)
