Appreciation Month

Greg Bublitz (pictured above) has been a huge part of AgeOptions and the Senior Medicare Patrol for many years! He has been a volunteer since 2017 and before that, he connected with our organization through his job at Medicare, co-presenting new Medicare materials with us at fairs and SHIP conferences.

We often joke that he is a human-Medicare-encyclopedia as he had worked for Medicare for 30 years! The first 20 years he was a sworn Federal Investigator doing abuse/neglect surveys for federal programs. Then, for the next 10 years, Greg was a key member of the National Medicare Outreach Group where he developed and presented the new Part C and Part D programs and was the Medicare Program Manager of 3 large Part C plans.

When Greg first retired, he was looking for volunteer opportunities that centered around helping people and we were lucky enough that he chose to volunteer with us. Throughout his many years as a volunteer, he has reached over 700 people! Greg’s knowledge of Medicare, familiarity with Medicare scams, and his compassionate nature makes him the perfect expert to educate beneficiaries and their loved ones in the community.

That all being said, Greg’s impact does not only extend to the attendees of outreach events, as he has also impacted every member of our SMP team here at AgeOptions. We have yet to meet someone who doesn’t leave a conversation with him smiling.

There are no words to fully capture our appreciation for the light you bring into the world but thank you for being you. It is a pleasure to know you and have you help us fight Medicare fraud!
