Day of Action for Older Americans Act Funding
On Wednesday, May 28th, the Illinois Association of Area Agencies on Aging (I4A) will lead a statewide Day of Action to demand critical funding for the Older Americans Act (OAA) on its 60th Anniversary. Illinois’ 13 Area Agencies on Aging and their local partners are hosting events from Chicago to Carbondale. Click here or see below to find an event near you.
I4A is calling on constituents to invite their legislators to the events in their district. To invite your legislator, click here.
Earlier this year, the Trump Administration proposed a budget that shows potential cuts to OAA-funded services such as home delivered meals, caregiver services, information and assistance, falls prevention, Long Term Care Ombudsman program, and more. I4A is calling all legislators, older adults, and caregivers to join events across the state to show the importance of these services for hundreds of thousands of adults in Illinois.
